Friends of kijabe was lunched on 12th February 2011 by the Vice President Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, He had visited the hospital last year 2010 and after visiting the wards and sharing with the management the challenges facing  the hospital, He volunteered to be Patron of the association which will be meeting annually to raise funds for the hospital. The hospital is facing financial challenges because of receiving more social-economically challenged people. Operational  budget is financed through the patient fees  while the funds for the capital projects are sourced from well wishers. Kijabe Hospital aims to keep its prices as affordable as possible through good stewardship of resources.  Our immediate and major capital projects are:-

  • Two ambulances each costing Ksh. 4,640,000
  • Construction of Hospice and Palliative Care Unit at cost of kshs.10 M
  • Construction of modern Outpatient Facility  and  Modern MCH at cost of kshs.33M
  • Expansion of x-ray Center at cost of kshs. 15m
  •  A modern school of nursing facility approximated at kshs. 120 m
